Rapper Raftaar took to his social media to clarify that the upcoming film titled ‘Raftaar’ is not related to him. It all started after the makers announced the film featuring Rajkummar Rao and Keerthy Suresh. Fans wondered if the movie is based on the life of the rapper.

On Monday, Raftaar took to his Instagram Story to respond to the fan speculation. He congratulated the team for the project and clarified that the film has nothing to do with him. He wrote, “I have nothing to do with the movie, but I want to congratulate the creators and thank them for algorithm rotation. Win-win.”

Directed by Aditya Nimbalkar, the movie is scheduled to hit theaters on July 24, 2026. Along with Rajkummar Rao and Keerthy Suresh, the film also features Rajat Kapoor, Rohan Verma, Tanya Maniktala, and Anurag Thakur in pivotal roles. This will be the first time Rajkummar Rao and Keerthy Suresh are set to share screenspace. The movie is reportedly about the rivalry in the startup environment.
