Aditya Dhar is currently basking in widespread praise for his latest release ‘Dhurandhar 2’. Just three months after the first installment hit screens, the director returned with its sequel on March 19, following paid previews on March 18. Headlined by Ranveer Singh, the film has opened to a roaring response at the box office, with audiences and industry insiders alike celebrating the high-octane spy thriller.Among those applauding the film is casting director Mukesh Chhabra, who penned an emotional note for Dhar on social media. Reflecting on their collaboration across both parts of Dhurandhar, Chhabra highlighted a rare trait in the filmmaker, his deep respect for people and the warmth he brings to his team. He also praised Dhar’s precision, passion, and emotional depth in storytelling.The casting director started his note by talking about his association with Aditya and how they were supposed to collaborate for his first directorial but it didn’t happen. He further wrote, “And then, Dhurandhar happened. I’ve seen you closely over the years but I had no idea that the person I knew was actually a genius, truly a genius. The way you’ve made this film, the detailing, the conviction, the emotion, but more than that, the way you respect every person around you, the love you give, the love you receive, it’s something rare. And now the entire country is seeing it, feeling it and talking about you.” Calling Dhar a “real hero,” Chhabra expressed gratitude for being included in the filmmaker’s vision. He added that this success is only the beginning, suggesting that audiences have witnessed just a fraction of Dhar’s true potential. “What you’ve done with Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar The Revenge people will be talking about these films for many, many years,” he further shared.Speaking about Dhurandhar The Revenge, the sequel boasts a strong ensemble cast. Ranveer takes on the role of Hamza Ali Mazari, also known as Jaskirat Singh Rangi. Sara Arjun plays Yalina, while Rakesh Bedi appears as Jameel Jamali. R. Madhavan portrays Ajay Sanyal, and Arjun Rampal features as Major Iqbal. Sanjay Dutt rounds out the cast as SP Chaudhary Aslam.
