One killed, another injured in Nalanda over land disputes | Patna News
Patna: Criminals opened fire on two people in Nalanda district’s Hilsa police station area over land disputes in the last 24 hours, leaving one dead and the other critically injured.An earthmover operator Kuldeep Yadav (30), from Jharkhand’s Chatra district, was shot dead on Saturday evening. He was engaged in construction work.Upon receiving information about the murder, Hilsa SDPO-1 Shailja arrived at the spot. She said, “Preliminary investigation and statements from people in the vicinity revealed that a clash took place between two groups in a nearby village over a land dispute. The criminals came to question him about the incident after which the clash took place. During the clash, the criminals opened fire, killing Kuldeep on the spot. The case will be solved soon.”In another incident, three assailants shot at a property dealer, Bhushan Yadav (35), while he was on a morning walk in the West Bypass area on Sunday.Family members rushed him to the sub-divisional hospital from where doctors referred him to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH).Bhushan is the son of Nandlal Yadav, a resident of Belwa Bagh in Hilsa police station area. Hilsa additional SHO, Rakesh Kumar, said: “The police have begun a probe into the incident. The family of Bhushan has taken him to Patna. Prima facie, the case appears to be linked to a land dispute as Bhushan is a property dealer. The situation will become clear after receiving a written application from the Bhusan’s family.”
