Sabrina Carpenter is opening up about working with her older sister, Sarah Carpenter, whom she calls her “creative partner”. In a new interview, the pop singer reflected on taking control of her artistic vision and working closely with her older sister on projects.The sisters’ collaboration goes back to their Disney days.
Sabrina Carpenter says she shares a brain with her sister
In a conversation with Perfect Magazine, the pop star, 26, opened up about taking control of her artistic vision and working closely with her older sister on projects. “I work with my sister a lot,” the ‘Manchild’ singer noted. “She has been my creative partner with pretty much everything I do. We kind of share a brain. She’s just got such an amazing creative eye. She’s a great photographer. She just has incredible taste.” She added, “We’ve been best friends our whole lives, so she knows me better than anyone.”And while Sabrina loves working with other creatives, Sarah is the “consistent through-line for me.”
The sisters’ long-time collaborations
The sisters’ collaboration goes as far back as the Grammy-winning artist’s Disney days, as Sarah appeared on Sabrina’s hit Disney Channel series ‘Girl Meets World.’ Sarah also sang backing vocals for her sister’s debut album, ‘Eyes Wide Open.’In a behind-the-scenes video on the making of the 2015 album, the sisters spoke on the joys of getting to work together. “We just clicked. We were really in sync,” Sarah said. “I just love being able to be here and be here for her and support her and just help her out whenever she needs it.”Elsewhere in her interview, Sabrina talked about her seven-month preparation for her headlining set at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 10 and 17. Sabrina, who first performed at Coachella in 2024, will headline the festival along with Justin Bieber, Karol G, and Anyma.
