ISI tactic? Punjab woman becomes 'Sarabnoor', invites Sikhs to visit Pakistan in video
Sarabjit Kaur, who converted to Islam and married a Pakistani man, has released a new video from Pakistan inviting Sikhs to visit the country.

AMRITSAR: Punjab’s Sarabjit Kaur, who slipped out of a Sikh Jatha in Nov last year and married a Muslim man in Pakistan after embracing Islam, has released a new video from across the border, inviting Sikhs to visit that country. The video marks a sharp shift from her earlier objectionable remarks against Sikhs, leading Indian intelligence agencies to question her intent. In the latest video, Sarabjit is seen standing near a highway. Calling herself ‘Sarabnoor’, she invites Sikh devotees to visit Nankana Sahib and other gurdwaras in Pakistan. “Our doors are open for everyone, and we welcome people from Indian Punjab on behalf of Pakistan,” she says.Intelligence sources view the sudden shift in her narrative with suspicion. According to them, the contrasting statements – first provocative and now conciliatory – could indicate that she is being used to gauge public reaction. Officials believe there is a possibility that she may be acting under the influence of Pakistan’s ISI to test sentiments among Sikhs.
