R. B. Choudary last rites details: Time, venue and funeral arrangements revealed

Veteran producer and Super Good Films founder RB Choudary passed away in a tragic road accident near Udaipur in Rajasthan. The accident happened while he was traveling to attend a family wedding. Reports say the vehicle lost control, and he suffered severe injuries. He was declared dead on the way to the hospital. The news has left the entire film industry in deep shock and sadness.

RB Choudary’s final rites scheduled on May 6

According to the official announcement, RB Choudary’s mortal remains will be brought to Chennai on May 6. His final rites are expected to take place in Chennai the same day or shortly after arrival, depending on formal arrangements. Fans, film personalities, and industry members are expected to gather to pay their last respects. His family, including sons Jiiva and Jithan Ramesh, is currently preparing for the funeral ceremonies.

Adding to the arrangements, an official message from PRO Riaz stated:

“Dear All, The mortal remains of legendary producer RB. Choudary sir will be kept at his residence from 3:00 p.m. onwards, allowing fans, friends, and members of the film fraternity to pay their final respects. No.16/27, 9th Street, Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai, Mylapore, Chennai 600004.”

RB Choudary film legacy

RB Choudary began his film journey in 1988 and went on to produce over 90 films across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi cinema. He delivered several blockbuster hits like ‘Pudhu Vasantham,’ ‘Nattamai,’ ‘Poove Unakkaga,’ ‘Suryavamsam,’ ‘Thulladha Manamum Thullum,’ ‘Anandham, Thirupaachi,’ and ‘Jilla.’ The films he made were filled with great family sentiments and universal popularity. He also introduced more than 30 directors, shaping many successful careers in the industry.

Top stars from South cinema, including Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, and Pawan Kalyan, have expressed deep sorrow over his death. Many actors described him as a kind and visionary producer who supported new talent without hesitation. Rajinikanth called him a “wonderful human being,” while others remembered his contribution to family entertainers.
