CBS News Atlanta shared in a new report that the latest installment in the ‘Scary Movie’ franchise was mainly filmed in Atlanta. Reportedly, the majority of the shots were filmed at Tyler Perry Studios, which is located at the Fort McPherson Army Base. The filming took place from October 1 to November 24 at the base.The studio where the movie was shot has a spacious setup for production, along with a couple of backlot areas, as well as a soundstage and indoor rooms for feature film production as well.‘Scary Movie 6’ joins the long list of popular and blockbuster films that have also been filmed in the same location. These also include ‘The Blind Side’, ‘Zombieland’, ‘Baby Driver’, ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’, and ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming and No Way Home’, along with many others.

This year’s horror comedy release is bringing back some of the franchise’s regulars to the big screen. The cast includes names such as Marlon Wayans as Shorty Meeks / Joe / Tiffany / Count Brolock, Shawn Wayans as Ray Wilkins, Anna Faris as Cindy Campbell, Regina Hall as Brenda Meeks, Damon Wayans Jr. as Agent Underwood, Gregg Wayans as Brad Meeks, Brenda’s son and Dei’s twin, and Kim Wayans as Nurse Ratchett, along with many others.
