At 68, veteran actor Sunny Deol is showing no signs of slowing down. This year marks the actor’s finest, with five back-to-back releases, according to the latest reports. Following the stupendous box office success of his last release, ‘Border 2,’ which amassed over Rs. 480 crore globally, the action star has now officially begun filming his next high-octane thriller, ‘Antony.’ Directed by newcomer Balaji Ganesh and produced by Excel Entertainment in collaboration with A.R. Murugadoss, the film features Vijay Varma as the primary antagonist.
Sunny Deol is back for ‘Antony’
As per Variety India, filming for the project kicked off on February 27 in Mumbai and is slated to wrap up by July 2026, targeting a theatrical release in early 2027. The film is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidwani’s Excel Entertainment, in partnership with A.R. Murugadoss’ production banner.

Sunny Deol has two additional films lined up for release this year. Rajkumar Santoshi’s action drama ‘Lahore 1947’ arrives in cinemas over the Independence Day weekend, while Nitesh Tiwari’s highly awaited ‘Ramayana Part 1’ drops during Diwali. In the latter, he portrays Lord Hanuman.
