‘Finished Strong’: Jamie Lee Curtis confirms ‘The Bear’ to end with Season 5 in emotional post as filming wraps
‘The Bear’ is set to close its kitchen after its upcoming fifth season, ending the story of Carmy Berzatto and the high-pressure restaurant world that has fueled the show since 2022. The Jeremy Allen White-led comedy-drama became a breakout hit and is now moving toward a planned conclusion after major Season 4 developments signaled the story was reaching its endpoint.
‘The Bear’ to end with Season 5
According to Deadline, sources confirmed that ‘The Bear’ will conclude with Season 5. The news follows a key storyline moment in Season 4. In the episode, White’s Carmy Berzatto tells Sydney, played by Ayo Edebiri, and Richie, played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach, that he is leaving the restaurant and signing over his ownership stake. That turn added weight to the idea that the show is heading for a final chapter. The network has often allowed creators of its hit series to choose when and how a final season is announced. The ending also surfaced through a recent Instagram post from Jamie Lee Curtis. She shared a photo with Abby Elliott, who plays Carmy’s sister Natalie ‘Sugar’ Berzatto, a co-owner in the restaurant.Curtis wrote, “FINISHED STRONG! Surrounded by an extraordinary crew and group of writers and producers and scene partners on the show that Chris Storer created, completing the story of this extraordinary family that we have all fallen in love with. Got to finish it out with my baby Berzatto bear.”
