Application process begins for UPCATET 2026, open till April 30 | Kanpur News
Kanpur: Application process for Uttar Pradesh Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test (UPCATET) commenced on Thursday. Candidates can apply online till April 30.Registrar of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology Kanpur, Renu Singh, informed that the process for the UPCATET-2026 entrance examination, conducted for admission to agriculture and technology universities in the state, has commenced.Through this, students are admitted to undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes conducted at Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology Kanpur, Acharya Narendra Dev University of Agriculture and Technology Kumarganj Ayodhya, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology Modipuram Meerut, Banda University of Agriculture and Technology Banda and Mahatma Buddha University of Agriculture and Technology Kushinagar.The examination is proposed to be held on June 10 and 11. Examination centres will be set up in several major cities, including Banda, Kanpur, Meerut, Ayodhya, Varanasi, Jhansi, Lucknow, Bareilly and Gorakhpur.Detailed information regarding the syllabus, number of seats, reservation system, fees and examination pattern has already been made available on the university’s official website, www.upcatetexam.org or www.buat.edu.in.University media in-charge Khalil Khan stated that career prospects in the agriculture sector are growing very rapidly at present. With modern technologies, research and innovations, the demand for agricultural education is also continuously increasing, and in view of this situation, a large number of applications are expected this year.Khan advised candidates to complete their application process well within the deadline and ensure that they carefully follow the guidelines issued on the website. The application process will be entirely online, and to maintain transparency, all stages of the application process will be completed digitally. In this regard, candidates need to exercise special caution while filling out their application forms to avoid any kind of errors.
