As the industry mourns the loss of legendary singer Asha Bhosle, Salman Khan expressed grief, calling her passing a huge loss for Indian music.Taking to social media, Salman wrote, “A huge loss for Indian music…. Heartbroken to hear about Asha ji. An irreplaceable voice, Your songs will continue to inspire generations.”Aamir Khan also paid tribute, describing her demise as a moment of collective loss.“For the whole industry, for the whole country, for the whole world. I am a big fan of hers. And this is a very sad thing, it’s a big loss. It’s the end of an era,” Aamir told reporters in Shirdi.Reflecting on her legacy, he added, “The four great singers – Lata (Mangeshkar) didi, (Mohd) Rafi saab, Kishor (Kumar) da and Asha Ji. So it’s the end of an era, I feel. And it’s a very sad day for all of us.”He further said, “My heartfelt condolences to the country, all our fans, her family, everyone. We are all her family. We pray that her soul may rest in peace.”
Final rites in Mumbai
Asha Bhosle passed away on Sunday at the age of 92 due to multi-organ failure. She had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital following a chest infection and exhaustion.
