Hazaribag: DC Shashi Prakash Singh and SP Anjani Anjan on Saturday asked Durga Puja organisers in Katkamsandi and Barkagaon blocks of the district to ensure that the pandals in their areas are able to witstand rain and winds.The directive came after a pandal in Dhanbad collapsed in inclement weather.“Puja committees will have to take safety measures with due diligence and ensure that there is no scope for mishaps. Negligence will not be tolerated,” DC Singh said.SP Anjan asked organisers to set up separate entry and exit gates at pandals for smooth crowd management.Fire department officials inspected fire safety measures in pandals on Saturday.
