Hazaribag Man Identified After Mutilated Body Found on Railway Tracks | Ranchi News

Hazaribag: A day after the mutilated body of a man was found on the railway tracks near Khapriyawan village in Hazaribag district on Friday, the deceased was identified as Aditya Kumar of Hazaribag city, police said.Police earlier said that the 21-year-old man was run over by the Ranchi-Patna Vande Bharat Express. But the family members of the deceased told police that Aditya had left home around 4 pm for his daily walk and did not return.Demanded a fair investigation into the case and immediate arrest of the accused, the family alleged that Aditya was murdered elsewhere and his body was dumped on the railway tracks to make it look like a train accident.Officer in-charge of the Katkamdag police station, Pramod Kumar Rai, said, “The body has been sent to Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination. All possible angles, including accident, suicide and murder, are being probed. Statements of local residents are being recorded and evidence is being collected from the spot.”
