During an appearance on 360 with Speedy back in July 2025, Stephen Curry spoke about his relationship with the Lakers’ legend and even reflected on receiving a special gift from him. On being asked about whether he still has the jersey gifted by LeBron James, Curry said, “I do. It’s in my pops’ house in Charlotte, but we were playing in the Elite 8—no, sorry, the Sweet 16—against Wisconsin in 2008, and he came to forward field in Detroit and watched that game, and I went off, and they obviously would cut to him every time I hit a bucket, and he was doing, you know, the animated, you know, celebrations and all that. I didn’t get to see him that day.”

He further elaborated, “He came to the game that afternoon and sat courtside. I dropped 40-something, and it was the same kind of thing, like, and that’s when I first met him. I came back to the game that night, and after the game he came out of the locker room with a jersey, and it’s like the king of basketball in North Carolina. It’s hard to sign it, and I had it on my wall all of the rest of college.”Stephen Curry and LeBron James are two of the most prominent faces in the NBA. Whether it’s about helping their respective franchises stand out in the league or bagging brand collaborations, the iconic NBA duo needs no introduction. Both Stephen Curry and LeBron James have left an indelible mark on the NBA league and have inspired millions across the globe.
