‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ opens with Mihir telling Baa that he loves only Tulsi and cannot understand how he ended up in this situation. He tells Sobha that Tulsi has held everything together after everyone else struggled, and that she is the only one he wants. Sobha tells him she cannot bear to watch him marry Noina, not even for a moment. Mihir tells her it is the hardest thing he has ever faced and that tomorrow he will be standing before Tulsi and marrying someone else. He asks Sobha to hold herself together. Sobha tells him she cannot stay and will go back to her own house. Mihir lets her go and consoles her before she leaves.
The blackmailer raises the stakes
Noina is anxious and barely sleeping. She tells Suchi that tomorrow is her wedding, and the blackmailer’s demand is still hanging over her head. The call comes. The blackmailer asks for fifty percent of her savings. Noina is stunned. He gives her one more hour to decide, threatening to expose everything if she refuses. Mihir is restless and cannot sleep. Pari finds him and sits with him. She tells him to think about what Tulsi is going through and asks him not to wake her up tonight. She tells him to talk to Tulsi in the morning. Mihir says nothing and sits with the weight of tomorrow pressing down on him.
Dada’s impossible ultimatum
In Jamshedpur, Angad tries to speak to Mangal, but Mangal comes in with an accusation, telling Angad he is playing games against them and that Bharti will marry him regardless. Bharti refuses. Mangal asks Dada to speak. The workers try to remove Angad, but Bharti physically stops them. Mangal threatens to kill Angad if he acts out of line. Dada silences everyone and takes Angad aside for a private conversation.Dada tells Angad something that changes the entire situation: Bharti once attempted suicide over a broken heart. He does not want that to happen again. He tells Angad the choice is simple: if he does not love Bharti, he must leave immediately. If he does love her, he must marry her and stay. Vrinda notices the sweets being distributed and comes to find out why. Before Angad can say a word, Dada himself tells Vrinda that Bharti is going to marry Angad. The sweet Vrinda is holding the falls from her hands. She turns to Angad and tells him he has betrayed her.
