BENGALURU: A mid-morning explosion in the boys’ toilet of a private school in Anekal on Tuesday triggered panic among students and staff, reigniting fears still fresh from the recent Red Fort blast in New Delhi.The incident occurred at Brainy Stars International School in Bingipura, leaving the campus in chaos as frightened children and teachers rushed out of classrooms, fearing the worst.Police and emergency teams soon arrived at the scene to investigate the cause of the blast.
Upon inspection, officers found scattered remains of ‘Lakshmi crackers’, confirming that the explosion was the result of a mischievous act rather than a serious threat.According to police, the school management has identified the students responsible for setting off the crackers inside the toilet. While no injuries were reported, officials have taken the matter seriously, warning students against such dangerous pranks.Authorities are now counseling the involved students and reinforcing safety measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
