Rakul Preet Singh: I would cycle more if the roads were better

Mumbaikars continue to complain about the poor air quality. While the BMC has introduced measures to keep the city’s AQI in check, residents remain concerned. Rakul Preet Singh, who lives in Bandra, voices sentiments shared by many Mumbaikars and offers practical suggestions to address the problem. Highlighting the constant construction across the city, she says, “We can’t stop the construction of buildings and the ongoing road work, but we can certainly do our bit by improving our habits and lifestyle and making cleaner choices. I think the ideal thing is that each one of us, as individuals, should take it upon ourselves. We’re all driving cars that pollute. I wish we had cyclist-friendly infrastructure that would allow people to use them effectively. I would cycle if the roads were better.”
