Tollywood star Ram Charan, son of Chiranjeevi, has built an impressive empire beyond his 18-year acting career. He leads big-budget films and runs diverse businesses, including a production house, a polo club, and investments in healthcare and startups. His ventures showcase a sharp business acumen, complementing his successful filmography and earning him a substantial net worth.

Tollywood star Ram Charan comes from the legendary Konidela-Allu family, being the son of Megastar Chiranjeevi. Since performing on big screens, he has completed over 18 years in the industry. Not only is the actor impressive with his performances in films, including ‘RRR’ and ‘Rangasthalam’, but he is also considered a highly skilled businessman.As a highly famous quote by Warren Buffett states, “Never depend on a single income. Taking a look at his investments, as the actor comes from an illustrious film family, he launched his production banner under the name Konidela Production Company in 2016. With the production house, the actor has completed projects including ‘Khaidi No 150’, ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ and ‘Acharya’ which have successful films.He did not stop there as in addition to that, the actor collaborated with another banner UV Creations, to establish another production house by the name V Mega Pictures post his film with SS Rajamouli in 2023. He aims to encourage new talent in the industry. As per a Bollywood Shaadis report, after the huge success of ‘RRR’, Ram Charan charges over 70-100 crore per movie.

Passion for Polo and sports ventures

Now talking about his profits coming from a non-film background. The ‘Game Changer’ actor loves riding horses. Even so much that in 2011, after making a successful run in his cinematography, he started his own polo team by the name, the Hyderabad Polo Riding Club.The ‘Magadheera’ has also invested in multiple companies. The Tollywood star co-owns an obstacle running series called Devil’s Circuit. It is a 5km long obstacle course with multiple style hurdles, which is the first of its kind in the country.Ram Charan also formed a regional airline in his home city, Turbo Megha Airways Private Limited, with Vankayalapati Umesh as a promoter.Back in 2013, Ram Charan ventured into the aviation sector by launching a Hyderabad-based regional carrier, Turbo Megha Airways Private Limited. The company was rebranded as TruJet in 2015, but the airline eventually grounded its services in February 2022 as per Mint.

Investments in healthcare and family ties

Apart from them, he has also invested in Apollo Hospitals. His wife, Upasana Konidela, is the Vice Chairperson of Corporate Social Responsibility there and she is the granddaughter of Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, who is the founder of Apollo Hospitals.Ram Charan got married to Upasana Konidela on June 12, 2012. They have an elder daughter, Klin Kaara Konidela, who was born in June 2023 and welcomed twins, a son named Shivram and a daughter named Anveera Devi in January 2026.
