‘Terror incident’: UK police on synagogue attack; 2 killed, suspect neutralised
British police have declared the violent assault at a Manchester synagogue on Yom Kippur a terrorist attack, the Associated Press reported. Assistant Metropolitan Police Commissioner Laurence Taylor said the attacker was shot dead by officers after ramming his car into pedestrians and stabbing worshippers. The rampage left two people dead and three others seriously injured. He added that two other suspects were arrested, though no further details were provided. Police noted it took time to establish that the assailant was dead because of fears he might have been carrying explosives. Also Read | Manchester synagogue attack: ‘Get back, he has a bomb’ – Video shows cops corner and neutralise suspect; 2 dead(Developing story)
