Thierry Henry is not planning a comeback in football, but he is still making headlines. The former Arsenal striker, now 48, is being talked about for something very different, a possible move into boxing. The idea came after he showed his latest fitness shape during a gym session earlier this month. His strong and lean body quickly caught attention online, and people started asking if he could try a new sport. That conversation grew bigger when boxing trainer Malik Scott shared his thoughts. Speaking to Action Network, Scott said Henry has the mindset needed for boxing. The two have spoken recently, and Scott even offered to train him if he ever wants to step into the ring. For now, it is only talk, but it has created real interest around Henry’s next chapter.

Malik Scott did not hold back while speaking about Thierry Henry. He made it clear that this is not just about looks, but about mindset.“Absolutely, because, even minus the figure, he had the tough mental fortitude, what it takes to be someone to compete at a high level,” Scott told Action Network.Scott also shared details from his recent conversation with Henry. According to him, Henry has made simple but strict changes to his lifestyle, especially cutting down on sugar.“When you look at his new physique, when I talk to him about it, he lets me know that he’s cut down on sugar. That’s what it’s really dedicated to. He also wants everyone to basically cut down on sugar,” Scott said.He added that Henry even encouraged him to try the same routine. “I just was having a conversation with him about it the other day, and he’s like, ‘Malik, just try it for a month or two and before you know it, you’ll be feeling better’. He’s just really on it. And it’s paid dividends for him because you see his physique, he’s in shape.”Scott believes Henry’s journey in football already shows the kind of strength needed for boxing. “I believe that with his mental strength and everything he had to overcome to be who he is today, that’s what it would take to become a fighter. And I believe Thierry has those qualities to do that.”He also made a clear offer. “If Thierry Henry was interested in doing something with boxing, and he needed my help, I would be here for him, faster than Superman changes clothes. Definitely, I would do that and help him out with that.”Henry retired from football at 37 after dealing with Achilles issues. During his career, he won the World Cup, Champions League, and two Premier League titles. Even after retirement, he has stayed close to fitness. In recent years, he has focused more on weight training and body exercises, which has clearly changed his body.Right now, there is no official plan for a boxing debut. But with his current form and Scott’s support, the idea does not feel impossible anymore.
