Delhi’s pollution woes: City’s air quality slightly improves; Anand Vihar remains in ‘severe’ zone | Delhi News
NEW DELHI: Delhi’s air quality showed a slight improvement on Friday morning as city’s air quality index (AQI) moved from very poor to poor category. The city recorded an AQI of 290, according to the CPCB-backed Sameer app.However, Anand Vihar remained in the severe category with an AQI of 403, the highest among all monitoring stations, news agency PTI reported. Fifteen other stations still reported AQI in the very poor range (above 300), while the rest were in the poor category (below 300).As per the CPCB, an AQI between 0–50 is considered “good”, 51–100 “satisfactory”, 101–200 “moderate”, 201–300 “poor”, 301–400 “very poor”, and 401–500 “severe”.The minimum temperature settled at 17°C, slightly below normal, while the maximum is expected to reach 32°C. The IMD forecast mist during morning hours and mainly clear skies later in the day.
