Bad Bunny Cast as ‘Pizza with Sunglasses’ in ‘Toy Story 5’ – A New Character with Attitude |
Bad Bunny is joining the ‘Toy Story’ universe in the most unexpected yet fitting role imaginable. The Puerto Rican singer-songwriter, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, will voice a toy who looks exactly like a slice of pizza wearing sunglasses in the highly anticipated ‘Toy Story 5’, arriving in theatres on June 19. The character is indeed named Pizza with Sunglasses, and Bad Bunny, 32, has a voice cameo in the role.According to a release from Disney, the character is described as “effortlessly cool and mysterious, a member of a small but mighty community of forgotten toys that live in an abandoned backyard shed.”
Bad Bunny’s acting career beyond ‘Toy Story 5’
The casting marks another chapter in Bad Bunny’s growing screen career. He has previously shown off his acting abilities in the 2022 action film ‘Bullet Train’, last year’s ‘Caught Stealing’ and ‘Happy Gilmore 2’, as well as on ‘Saturday Night Live’. Among his upcoming projects is the historical drama ‘Porto Rico’, the directorial debut of rapper Residente, also known as René Pérez Joglar.Bad Bunny is currently performing around the world on his ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour’, which is set to wrap up in July.

‘Toy Story 5’ is directed by Andrew Stanton, longtime writer of the beloved franchise, and brings back Oscar-winning composer Randy Newman to score the film. Returning cast members include Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz, Joan Cusack as Jessie and Tony Hale as Forky, among others.New additions to the voice cast include Greta Lee as a tech-toy tablet named Lilypad, Conan O’Brien as potty-training toy Smarty Pants, Craig Robinson as GPS hippo toy Atlas, Shelby Rabara as toy camera Snappy and Krys Marshall in an undisclosed role. Alan Cumming has also been unveiled as Evil Bullseye, described as the playtime alter ego of Woody’s faithful horse toy who otherwise does not speak.A new trailer for the film shows Jessie rallying her fellow toys to confront Lilypad and help their kid Bonnie, played by Scarlett Spears, make friends. ‘Toy Story 5’ arrives in theatres on June 19.
