He worked on the film, ‘Propeller One-Way Night Coach,’ which is an adaptation of his children’s book from 1997. What makes the project even more special is that his daughter starred in the film. During a recent interview, the actor discussed what it was like to have his daughter, Ella Travolta, on set as an actress.

Ella Travolta made an appearance in her father’s directorial feature. He recently appeared on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,’ where he was asked about his daughter, and he could not have been more proud. When a clip from the film showed his daughter, Travolta could not help but comment and smile while saying, “A star is born, right?”Travolta was also recently given one of the highest honours of the Cannes Film Festival, an Honorary Palme d’Or, an accomplishment for the actor who has worked on a diverse range of characters.

While talking to PEOPLE, Ella also opened up about working with her father on the film sets. She stated during the interview, “I knew it was such a special night for my whole family that I sort of made sure to put myself in the moment and really take it all in. And it felt very calm, actually, and very just beautiful and very emotional.”
