From Cadillacs to Volkswagen Beetles, Premier Padminis and Mercedes-Benz classics, Campal turned into a moving museum over the weekend as over 118 vintage cars rolled into Panaji for the vintage car rally on Saturday, reviving decades of automotive history on Goa’s streets. The display brought together machines lovingly preserved by collectors, including family heirlooms passed down through generations.The vintage and classic cars were lined up at the Francisco Luis Gomes Garden in Campal, Panaji, drawing car enthusiasts from across the state eager to witness these timeless wheels on heritage Goan streets. This year, some of the vehicles were driven in from as far as Bengaluru, Mumbai and Pune, with the majority coming from Goa as part of the event. Actor Sameera Reddy was also among those who attended the rally, enjoying the vintage charm on display. Calling her restored Contessa Classic ‘gold’, she said the rally brought together true car lovers and celebrated the effort and passion that goes into keeping these beauties alive on the road.
